One lean, mean thinking machine!

Like HAL9000, is it not possible that your professor could actually be a machine? Don't laugh, we've all thought about it at one time or another! It would be foolish to rule out the idea that these highly intellectual beings could actually be sophisticated "thinking machines." Or for that matter, couldn't anyone who walks amongst us be such. If put to the Turing Test, could one actually be confident that they would be able to determine the difference between man and machine? As far as intelligence goes, is there even really a difference between the two?

Since Descartes, many have had many thought provoking conversations in which end in the realization that the following statement is true. So why is it that when it pretains to robots, one simply huffs and ignores any possibility that this may be true. Many try to critique such an issue stating that there is no way in which a robot could be mistaken for human because they would lack many of our animated abilities....well to that i respond with a simple cartoon.....

One simple minute connection at a time!

An excellent public speaker, Kathleen Wynne approaches a crowd at a minority festival to discuss a very important issue in the upcoming elections, the issue over faith based school funding. Understanding her audience, Wynne builds credibility by having a memeber of her minority audience introduce her with such kind words of praise. Spectators, notice her sharply dressed image and find both her appearance and her opinions to be very attractive. They're HOOKED!!! Having built credibility, the audience now listen attentatively and examine Wynne's evidence and determine that she is quite passionate about what she is talking about.

Less than a month later...... and........wait for it......

Kathleen Wynne is all smiles. True story!

She beat none other than John Tory! Rather impressive wouldn't ya say! Commenting to the National Post of her victory, Wynne acknowledge that these were, "the product of four years of hard work, a great campaign team and my ability to connect with people in every neighbourhood in the riding on their local issues." It was her understanding of her listening audiences and her ability to connect with them that had won her the riding. Now, with the election over with one would wonder what is next for Kathleen Wynne. One can only assume that with her ability to present herself and connect instantly with audience, world domination is just around the corner. I only ask that you remember me Kathleen!
